Grand Opening
Wednesday 29 August 2012
We prepared the whole day (and the day before) for the opening's performance. Two shoes had to be adjusted to the ceiling in such a way that they could hold the weight of a man.
The audience came in while we were still ironing some crumpled posters of former works and hammered these on the walls.
When there were enough people I asked the to help us to put a big box in the middle of the space. With four men and one woman we managed to lift Tomasz upside down. Touching the ceiling he managed to fit into the shoes and bind the laces. We took the box away so that Tomasz could freely hang.
I positioned myself under him and draped his hair around my own (bald) head
I brushed my new hair, cut some friz away and took some self-portrait photos.
Tomasz was put to his feet the other way around thereafter.
